Caring for Your Jeans

Taking care of your jeans will keep them looking nice for a lot longer. Get your money's worth from your jeans by following these tips:

1. Wear your jeans as long as you can without washing them. Stretch jeans shouldn't be washed more than once a week if you want to keep the snug fit. Premium or designer denim should be hand washed in cold water or dry cleaned. When in doubt, check the care label inside your jeans for instructions

2. Always turn jeans inside out when you're washing them to protect the color. Use cold or warm water.

3. Don't put your jeans in the dryer all the time! It will reduce the stretch in the fabric and ruin the fit. Try hanging them or laying them over the back of a chair or in the shower to dry. To shrink stretched denim back to size, tumble dry at high heat for no more than 40 minutes.

4. Hang your jeans in the closet instead of folding them (if you have the room). This will help them keep their natural shape.
